RSC Africa
The Resettlement Support Center (RSC) Africa operates a US refugee resettlement program in sub-Saharan Africa through a Cooperative Agreement with the Department of State/Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration.  RSC Africa is responsible for the preparation of refugee case files for adjudication by US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officers, as well as the out-processing and cultural orientation of all approved cases.  RSC Africa is administered by the Church World Service Immigration Refugee Program (CWS/IRP) and is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Primary Purpose: 
This position is primarily responsible for the overall management of the RSC Africa procurement, inventory, and grounds.
 
Supervision: 
This position reports directly to the Deputy Director for Administration and directly supervises the Procurement Supervisor and Property Supervisor.
  
Essential Duties:
 
  1. Supervises the requisition, maintenance, and inventory arrangement of expendable and non-expendable equipment and supplies.
  2. Oversees RSC Africa Procurement functions and ensures compliance with US Government requirements
  3. Ensures that adequate inventory levels are maintained for all supplies
  4. In conjunction with the Property Supervisor, works regularly with the property management company to ensure services are delivered and accounted for properly 
  5. Works closely with Finance Manager and Deputy Director for Administration to perform regular internal audits and compliance checks
  6. Ensures that all adequate insurance is arranged for all property and personnel and other liabilities in accordance with Kenyan law.
  7. Closely monitors vendor and contractor performance.
 
Qualifications:
 
Education:
Bachelors degree in business administration or a related field of study or 4 years of directly related experience performing the essential duties in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
 
Experience:
Two years of related experience, including procurement and inventory experience, is required. Supervisory experience is required.
 
Three to Five years of related experience, including experience working with NGO procurement is preferred.
 
Knowledge:
Demonstrated computer skills, especially Microsoft Products.  Excellent organizational and time management skills.  Strong verbal and written English language skills.
Knowledge of US Government procurement standards is preferred.

Physical requirements:
This position requires bending, sitting, standing, walking, pushing/pulling, handling objects (manual dexterity), reaching above shoulder level, using fine finger movements and lifting/carrying loads of up to 10 Kg.
 
Working environment:
Primarily indoors in a general office environment.  This position on occasion may be exposed to excessive noise.
 
Licensing/Certification:
A valid Kenyan driver’s license is preferred.
 
Miscellaneous requirements:
Flexibility and willingness to work long hours, including working on Saturdays as needed.
Certificate of Good Conduct is required before the start of employment.
